Founder
Survivor Media was founded by D. Maxinne Bernal, a writer, journalist, and technical communicator with a background spanning media, storytelling, and cybersecurity.
Maxinne began her career in journalism, reporting for community newspapers and contributing to radio news organizations, including coverage of major national and international events. Her work has taken her across the United States and abroad, shaping a storytelling style grounded in realism, human experience, and attention to detail.
She later transitioned into cybersecurity, where she worked as a technical writer producing clear, high-impact documentation for complex systems.
Letters From A Survivor represents a return to narrative storytelling, combining her background in journalism, technical clarity, and creative writing into a single immersive project.
